What are Hanton Horseshoes?
Hanton Horseshoes set the standard for versatility in glue-on horseshoes. They provide farriers with endless possibilities while maintaining the integrity, soundness, and performance of both the horse and the hoof.
Most glue-on shoes lock in the back of the horse’s foot with glue, restricting the heels from being able to flex and absorb the shock of each footfall but Hanton’s design allows the back of the horse's foot to flex and absorb concussion the way nature intended. Hanton Horseshoes maintain hoof structure and strength time after time.
Glue is injected into our patented Kevlar-reinforced plastic blisters, which are secured over specially engineered metal tabs (available in aluminum or stainless steel) welded to each horseshoe. These tabs are positioned in line with traditional nailing placement to maintain familiarity and precision in application.
The gluing process is completed from start to finish with the hoof on the ground and weight-bearing, promoting a natural fit and proper alignment. Once the adhesive has been applied, the hoof is wrapped to support curing and ensure a secure bond. After the glue has fully set, the exterior edge of the blister is peeled away, leaving a clean, trapezoid-shaped adhesive profile along the hoof wall.
Hanton Horseshoes offer the ability to reset shoes for multiple cycles, providing farriers with exceptional value. Designed to accommodate pads, studs, packing, and a wide range of customizations, they deliver versatility and flexibility without compromise — all while remaining one of the most cost-effective, efficient, and reliable glue-on systems available.
"Glue-on shoes are often thought of as only being used for horses with 'bad feet'. We want to change that," said Broadus. "With Hanton Horseshoes, we hope to help make glue-on shoes mainstream.
